Signals (KRIs)

The catalogue of key risk indicators a template can name

Get started with signals (kris)

Not in this build. Signals as computed values. No indicator’s value is measured or compared with a limit; a policy’s own rules do the measuring (see Policies). What exists is the catalogue below.

Hira ships a catalogue of key risk indicators, shown under Administration › Library › Risk indicators. A policy template may name the indicator it relates to; the link is descriptive, and nothing in the API reads an indicator.

Type and unit

Each indicator declares a data type, one of amount, rate, ratio, boolean, count and duration, and a unit, such as USD, percent or days.

When it is taken

Each indicator also declares an evaluation mode, shown in the console as Real Time, Scheduled or On Change (real_time, scheduled, on_change). The mode is a label on the catalogue entry.

Risk domains

Indicators group into four domains: Transaction Monitoring, Concentration & Market Risk (the console reads Concentration Risk), Compliance & Regulatory and Operational Control. An exception’s category comes from its policy’s category.
